The Handicapped Pets Foundation would like to thank its many generous and thoughtful supporters for their contributions to Dot, a guide dog that was forced into early retirement because she was struggling to walk. Dot is now enjoying her retirement with Eve who is a volunteer for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Eve, who is almost 80 years old, has raised 26 puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Eve had previously cared for Dot from the time she was a puppy until she was old enough to begin her training as a guide dog. Now, after successfully working for seven years as a guide dog, Dot has returned to live with Eve where she has regained her mobility thanks to her Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair!
Dot was forced into early retirement because of her rear leg paralysis. She desperately needed a dog wheelchair that would significantly improve the quality of her retirement years. Dot had been dragging herself around to play in the yard with the other dogs, and it was very difficult for Eve to assist her in walking.
Dot has received enough funds and now has her Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair. Thank you for your support! Please consider donating for other pets in need.
